The vocational counselor will join the team that manages the Young Adult Internship Program (YAIP). YAIP recruits and trains disconnected young adults ages 17 to 24 and places them into subsidized internship opportunities at local businesses. The Vocational Counselor will provide ongoing participant support and case management to ensure that all youth participants are successfully participating in all aspects of the training, the internship, and are maintaining self sufficiency beyond the completion of the program. Qualifications for this position include a minimum of five years direct social service experience, providing retention, counseling or case management services to low-income communities.
