Marilyn Shea is the Interim Executive Director of the New York City Employment and Training Coalition (NYCETC). In this position, she manages the association’s educational and advocacy programs as well as its communications activities. She joined NYCETC in June 2010, She has previously served as the Regional Administrator for the US Department of Labor for the New York Region from 1997-2002; the Administrator 14 for the US Department of Labor WIA Adult Programs in Washington, DC from 2002-2004; and she was the Executive Director of the New York City Workforce Investment Board from 2004 to 2007. She has recently served as Interim Executive Director; National Fund for Workforce Solutions which is a five-year, $30 million collaboration among eight national philanthropies and the US Department of Labor. The Fund establishes private/public partnerships at the national and regional levels to strengthen and expand high-impact workforce development initiatives that assist lower-skilled workers advance in their careers and help employers meet their skill needs.

Kathleen Brady writes and edits NYCETC’s Workforce Weekly. Prior to joining NYCETC in October, 2007, she worked for the Garment Industry Development Corporation where she managed a program to assist small industrial firms and apparel firms in Manhattan in accessing public and private assistance programs. She was Senior Writer in the Communications Office of Mayor Bloomberg's Department of Education and worked for nearly a decade at Time Magazine as a reporter. She served as co-chairman of the Newspaper Guild's negotiating committee during contract talks with Time Inc. in 1992. She has also published biographies of the journalist Ida Tarbell and Lucille Ball. For her Tarbell biography she was named a Fellow of the Society of American Historians. She received her Masters of Science in Urban Affairs from Hunter College in 2006.

Charlotte Volage handles all of the office logistics as well as supports the executive director with a variety of tasks from web maintenance, presentation support, accounting and event organization. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Wagner College was a Graduate Fellow at The Pennsylvania State University in Economics. She has a diverse career as an actor, award-winning playwright, production stage manager, live corporate events coordinator/performer and powerpoint graphic artist.

Hadasah Ingrid Cornell handles all of the registration, planning and event logistics for the special events and educational programs that support NYCETC member organizations. She joins the NYCETC with over 10 years event planning experience in hospitality management. Ms. Cornell currently writes online for various magazines and writes regularly about the basics of event planning. Hadasah comes from a long and varied career in the performing arts as an actor, playwright, teacher and director.
